HARRISBURG - The PA Chamber Educational Foundation and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association are again joining forces to present the Seventh Annual Economic Forecast and Business Leadership Summit on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey. This year’s program will feature a “State of the Nation” address by U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Linda McMahon. As a member of President Trump’s Cabinet, McMahon advocates on behalf of 30 million small businesses across the country.
“The state and national economies are on an upward trajectory, with low unemployment and job creators expressing a renewed sense of optimism,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr. “This year’s Economic Summit features a number of dynamic speakers who will help give employers a better sense of what’s on the economic horizon so that they can plan accordingly. Additionally, we’re honored to have Administrator McMahon speak to how economic changes on the national level are impacting small businesses.”
The summit’s agenda also includes an economic forecast from the state and federal perspective. House Majority Leader Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster, will give an overview of the economic challenges currently facing the Commonwealth. Dr. J.D. Foster, chief economist for the U.S. Chamber, will be discussing the challenges currently facing businesses from a national perspective, as well as anticipated economic activity over the next few years. The program will also feature a presentation on how organizations can embrace emotional intelligence to the benefit of its leadership and employees; as well as a segment on how to overcome the challenges of the constantly connected workplace.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with the PA Chamber Educational Foundation through the annual Economic Forecast and Business Leadership Summit,” said Duncan Campbell, the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s president & CEO. “The summit provides an opportunity for our financial institution members to stay abreast of leadership trends and changes in the economic landscape that will aid them in their effort to continually provide meaningful services for their consumers and support their local communities.”
RKL will serve as the Economic Forecast Summit’s Exclusive Diamond Sponsor for the seventh consecutive year.
