PA Chamber Announces Change to Annual Dinner Program Line-Up

Former White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card to participate in “Perspectives from the West Wing” segment

HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is pleased to announce that former White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card will be featured in the “Perspectives from the West Wing” segment of the dinner program. He will be replacing former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino – who was slated to participate in the panel discussion, but due to a scheduling change on her Fox News show, is now unable to attend the dinner.

“We are thrilled to add veteran political insider and government leader Andrew Card to the Chamber Dinner program,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr. “He has had a career trajectory that is unparalleled in U.S. politics – having experience as an elected official in the Massachusetts state legislature and then going on to serve in an advisory role to three U.S. presidents. His experiences working for the Reagan and both Bush administrations – which included notifying President George W. Bush of the Sept. 11 terror attacks – are sure to make the evening’s panel discussion unforgettable.”

Moderated by keynote speaker Chris Wallace, the “Perspectives from the West Wing” segment will feature an insightful and dynamic in-depth conversation with Card and former White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, who will reflect on their personal experiences working for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama respectively, as well as their perspectives on the current administration’s approach to media relations.

The dinner will take place on Monday, Sept. 18 at the Hershey Lodge. Dennis Owens, news anchor for abc27 news, will emcee the event.
