General Election Day is one week away. And as Tuesday, November 5 approaches, the PA Chamber is sending a critical message to the employer community that we want you to pass on to your employees and across your communities: democracy thrives when citizens are actively engaged!
Our Civics Bee initiative strives to engage more young people in our democracy and work together in their communities. But to pass the torch of civic engagement to future generations, we must lead by example—and that begins with voting.
The upcoming election presents a critical opportunity to shape policies that impact our businesses and communities. The PA Chamber is proud to support pro-growth, pro-jobs candidates for the state House and Senate who align with our mission to make Pennsylvania more competitive. Through their voting records and responses to our candidate questionnaire, our ChamberPAC-endorsed candidates have demonstrated a commitment to fostering an environment where businesses can thrive and jobs can flourish.
As Election Day approaches, it’s important to stay informed! First, before you go to the voting booth or complete your mail-in ballots, know how your state representative and senator has voted on priority legislation via our comprehensive PA Chamber Legislative Scorecard. We’re encouraging business leaders to review and share this resource, as it is a good indicator of where your elected officials stand on policies that impact our state’s business climate.
The most important tool we have is our VOICE and our VOTE. So, make your voice heard on November 5 (or sooner, through mail-in voting) and choose the candidates who prioritize a prosperous future for Pennsylvania.
All eyes will be on the Commonwealth this Election Day. As the most closely watched battleground state in the country, pollsters largely agree that as Pennsylvania goes, so will the nation. In addition to an incredibly close presidential race (RealClear Politics currently has former President Trump besting Vice President Kamala Harris by a razor-thin margin of 0.4 percent – proving the old adage that every vote counts) there is also a critical U.S. Senate seat, various state row offices, U.S. Congress, and state House and Senate seats on the ballot.
Together, we can keep the flame of democracy burning bright—by engaging, voting, and leading. Make a plan to vote, get informed, and find your polling place here.
