HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Board of Directors has added three new business leaders to the board. The appointments took place at the PA Chamber’s recent Board of Directors meeting at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA. These additions are the result of the PA Chamber’s recently finalized agreement to combine operations with the Pennsylvania Business Council. Per the terms of the agreement, three former members of the PBC Board of Directors were to become board members of the PA Chamber.
“We’re excited to welcome our newest board members as we prepare to enter into our second century of operation,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr. “2016 has been a milestone year for our organization. In addition to celebrating our centennial anniversary, the recent combination with the PBC has allowed us to strengthen our outreach on behalf of the Commonwealth’s broad-based business community. We’re confident that these three new members will bring a welcomed dynamic to our board as we begin this new chapter.”
The newly-elected members of the Board of Directors are: Scott C. Rogers, president of The Glatfelter Agency; Robert M. Scaer, president and COO of Gannett Fleming; and Richard A. Ehst, president and COO of Customers Bank.
With these appointments, the PA Chamber Board of Directors now consists of 61 members – representing businesses of all sizes across all industry sectors.
