PA Chamber Opens Media Registration for 32nd Annual Chamber Dinner

Event program to feature keynote address by Michael Strahan, "Conversation with Pennsylvania's Governors" segment

HARRISBURG - Credentialed members of the media may now register online to cover the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s 32nd Annual Chamber Dinner on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA. Hall of Fame football player, successful entrepreneur and popular national television broadcaster Michael Strahan will give the evening’s keynote address. The dinner program also will feature a dynamic dialogue with Pennsylvania’s governors – who will discuss their experiences in office and share their unique perspective on events that shaped the Commonwealth during their tenure.


“With 2016 marking our one hundredth anniversary, this year’s dinner will unite business and politics like never before,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr. “We’re excited to welcome sports legend Michael Strahan, who will discuss his successful transition from NFL legend to business mogul, author and broadcaster. On the political front, we’re honored to feature what is sure to be an unforgettable conversation with Pennsylvania’s chief executives.”  


Credentialed members of the media who are interested in covering the event must register for PA Chamber media credentials by Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016


Dennis Owens, news anchor for abc27 news, will emcee the dinner for the ninth consecutive year. 


Highmark and United Concordia Dental will serve as the event’s Exclusive Diamond Co-Sponsors.  The dinner is also being supported by 10 Gold sponsors; three Keynote sponsors; 36 Silver sponsors and 33 Bronze sponsors, which are listed at

Audio, video and traditional “pen and paper” coverage by credentialed media is permitted for the “Conversation with Pennsylvania’s Governors” portion of the program. The following coverage guidelines apply for Strahan’s keynote address:



  • Print media: Only traditional “pen and paper” press coverage of Michael Strahan’s remarks is permitted. Audio recording is prohibited. Still photography (no flash) is permitted only during the first three minutes of Strahan’s presentation. Personal cameras, cell phone cameras and all recording devices must be turned off during the keynote address.


  • TV stations: B-roll footage is permitted only during the first three minutes of Strahan’s keynote address.


  • Only credentialed media are permitted to cover the event. PA Chamber media credentials will be distributed on-site at the Hershey Lodge on the night of the event. Both PA Chamber media credentials and media outlet credentials must be visible to gain entry to the Great American Hall, where the program will take place. Media outlets interested in covering the event need to register by Thursday, Sept. 22. The PA Chamber will confirm credentialed status by Friday, Sept. 23.


  • Media check-in will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the registration desk in the Great Lobby on Monday, Sept. 26.


  • PA Chamber representatives will be available for interviews, and b-roll footage of the pre-dinner Gala Reception and other general activity is welcome. The reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Chocolate Ballroom.
