ChamberPAC Endorses Chris Quinn for Special State House Election

HARRISBURG - ChamberPAC, the political arm of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, today announced its endorsement of Chris Quinn for state representative of the 168th House District.

The special election for the House seat will take place on Tuesday, July 12. Quinn, a Republican, will face Democrat Diane Cornman-Levy for the seat previously held by current state Senator Tom Killion.  The 168th House District comprises parts of Delaware County.

“As a small business owner and local elected official, Chris will bring a unique and fresh perspective to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr. “He knows first-hand how over-taxation and burdensome government regulations can negatively impact job creators and hurt the Commonwealth’s overall business climate.  Chris will be a strong advocate for pro-growth policies that will help move Pennsylvania’s economy forward.”

Born and raised in Delaware County, Quinn has served on the Middletown Township Council since 2008. A local small business owner, he started his own independent insurance agency in 2002.  Prior to that, Quinn worked in the global manufacturing industry.  He has long been involved in several community organizations and is a member of the Board of Directors of Wells for Relief International – a non-profit organization that provides safe drinking water to people in need around the world.  He is also vice treasurer of the Delaware County Industrial Development Authority.  Quinn resides with his wife and three daughters in Middletown Township.

“Chris is a well-rounded candidate whose experience in the private sector will be a strong asset in the Pennsylvania General Assembly. On behalf of the Pennsylvania Chamber’s broad-based membership, ChamberPAC urges voters in the 168th state House District to support Chris Quinn in the upcoming special election,” Barr added.

The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is the state's largest broad-based business association, with its statewide membership comprising businesses of all sizes and across all industry sectors. The PA Chamber is The Statewide Voice of BusinessTM.

ChamberPAC is a bipartisan political action committee of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, whose purpose is to contribute to pro-job, pro-growth candidates who believe in business's rights to compete on an equal basis in the world marketplace. ChamberPAC is governed by a board of directors consisting of volunteer business leaders.
