In anticipation of the PA Chamber’s upcoming, highly anticipated return of its “Coolest Thing Made in PA” contest, Pennsylvanians are encouraged to submit their favorite made-in-Pennsylvania products by the close of business this Friday, February 16, to be considered for inclusion in the popular bracket-style challenge.
Last year’s inaugural “Coolest Thing” contest was an instant classic, with tens of thousands of votes being cast and more than one million social media impressions earned over three weeks. The contest culminated in the “Almost Famous” Primanti Bros. sandwich from Pittsburgh being crowned the first-ever “Coolest Thing Made in PA” champion! As we prepare for this year’s tournament, the PA Chamber team is committed to ensuring a wide representation of industry products across every region of the Commonwealth.
This year, we’re going bigger and better in a few ways. First, there will be 64 companies competing in this year’s contest (as opposed to last year’s 32), giving brand lovers twice as many opportunities to ensure their team is represented! Also, voters will have two chances per round to vote – on both X and Instagram.
“During and following last year’s competition, we heard from plenty of impassioned Pennsylvanians who made the case for why their favorite item should have been included or why they should have won,” PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein said. “We’ve been asking for and receiving recommendations since last year’s competition ended, and we’re continuing to encourage submissions through the end of this week. As we double the size of this year’s bracket and build on last year’s success, we cannot wait to highlight the many companies and brands that make Pennsylvania the coolest state in the nation!”
