They will discuss the five leading national topics of importance facing human resources professionals from the National Labor Relations Board. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the NLRB is the U.S. government agency responsible for investigating and enforcing U.S. labor law in relation to unfair labor practices and collective bargaining.
Closing Keynote: The Rising Surge of Discrimination Claims with Strategies to Protect Your Company
Back by popular demand, Jonathan Segal, Partner, Duane Morris LLP, along with Kathryn Brown, Associate, Duane Morris LLP, will present the closing keynote on the rising surge of discrimination claims, including harassment. Both nationally and in Pennsylvania, harassment and discrimination claims are way up, and companies must ensure they are limiting exposure and have taken the right steps when there’s a claim. We will discuss what companies should do—and should have done—to prevent bad supervisor/employee behaviors that lead to discrimination cases; the biggest mistakes companies make with discrimination claims; and best practices companies should follow to prevent these types of claims.
