EVENT DESCRIPTION The Children’s Health Insurance Program(CHIP) is a Federal program administered by each state to help provide health insurance for uninsured kids and teens including the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Angela Kritzer from Aetna Better Health Kids, a CHIP Managed Care organization in Pennsylvania will help the audience understand more about CHIP coverage and explain how and why more children may qualify than you previously thought. The CHIP program provides low-cost or no-cost health coverage to children of families who may not have health coverage through an employer or who may not qualify for Medicaid. The range of eligible children who qualify for CHIP may surprise you. The CHIP coverage is delivered by a series of Managed Care Organizations like Aetna Better Health Kids across the Commonwealth.
