PA Chamber President & CEO Luke Bernstein Hosts PA Newsmakers

PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein guest-hosted the latest episode of Pennsylvania Newsmakers, where he was joined by State Rep. Torren Ecker (R-Cumberland/Adams) to discuss Pennsylvania’s designation as the nation’s number one “judicial hellhole” in a new report from the American Tort Reform Foundation.

Their conversation focused on the challenges within Pennsylvania’s civil justice system, including lawsuit abuse, venue shopping, and the economic consequences of excessive litigation.

Rep. Ecker highlighted tort reform efforts underway in the state Capitol, sharing key proposals aimed at restoring fairness, reducing legal abuse, and fostering a more competitive business environment.

Later in the episode, Bernstein was joined by David Misner from Pennsylvania American Water to discuss the company’s community engagement and charitable efforts heading into the holiday season.

The full program will air this Sunday, December 29 at 11:30 AM on WGAL and be available to stream online at www.newsmakerstv.com.
