Federal, State Business Policy Priorities the Focus of Final 2024 GA Roundtable

PA Chamber Investor Members gained insider perspectives on pro-growth policy priorities in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. during the final GA Roundtable of 2024, held virtually last week.

In a special bonus session, U.S. Chamber Executive Vice President, Chief Policy Officer, and Head of Strategic Advocacy Neil Bradley shared his views on the incoming Trump administration and early priorities for Congress. He discussed the U.S. Chamber’s goal to expand tax cuts under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act; the impact of and action on existing regulations; how Congress would approach President Trump’s tariff proposals; and addressing border security while supporting for legal immigration. He also took questions from the audience of business leaders.

The event also included discussions and Q&A with outgoing state Senate Majority Whip Ryan Aument, R-Lancaster, and incoming state House Majority Whip Mike Schlossberg, D-Lehigh, regarding their respective majority caucuses’ legislative priorities headed into next session and opportunities to work together. Sen. Aument, who is resigning to join the staff of  U.S. Senator-Elect Dave McCormick, reflected on his time in public service and thanked his staff.

The remainder of the agenda included a deep dive into the PA Chamber’s pro-business achievements over the 2023-24 session and discussion on what’s coming up in 2025.
