Last Tuesday, PA Chamber Investor Members participated in high-level policy discussions and engaged in networking opportunities at various exclusive events with the PA Chamber’s team, elected officials, and other dignitaries.
Our June Government Affairs Roundtable featured Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman, R-Indiana, who provided insights into FY 2024-25 state budget negotiations, and state Treasurer Stacy Garrity, who shared an update on her office and the Commonwealth’s fiscal position. The PA Chamber’s Government Affairs team led discussions on other timely policy issues important to the business community. The day also included exclusive meetings with Investor members on the PA Chamber’s efforts to develop a long-term economic strategy for the Commonwealth.
Later in the afternoon, members of the President’s Roundtable – the highest tier of Investor Membership – had an exclusive audience with Gov. Josh Shapiro, discussing his administration’s leading priorities this budget season and beyond, and opportunities for collaboration with the state’s business community to create a more competitive business climate. Following the meeting, the PA Chamber welcomed its entire Investor Membership to its 2024 Investor Reception, where key Shapiro Administration officials, elected leaders, and other dignitaries enjoyed a relaxing evening of networking on the grounds of the historic and beautiful Governor’s Residence and Rose Garden.
