PA Chamber Hosts Back-to-Back Member Events During Budget Week

The PA Chamber welcomed our members to two information-packed events during budget week. Both sessions were highly anticipated and drew a strong turnout, both in-person and online.

These events provided members with an opportunity to stay informed and engaged in discussions surrounding Pennsylvania’s economic future and state budget negotiations.

On Tuesday, February 6, PA Chamber Investor Members gathered for lunch and a live viewing of Gov. Josh Shapiro’s budget address. Before the speech, participants engaged in a GA Roundtable with the Chamber’s government affairs team to discuss recent legislative developments and preview the governor’s address. Following the address, participants shared their immediate reactions and engaged in further discussion.

On Wednesday, February 7, the annual Budget Briefing provided PA Chamber members with detailed presentations from Budget Secretary Uri Monson and Revenue Secretary Pat Browne. The briefing offered an in-depth analysis and explanation of various aspects of the governor’s 2024-2025 budget proposal, as well as its implications on Pennsylvania’s employers and the economy. Attendees then had the opportunity to ask questions of the secretaries and gain valuable insights into the governor’s proposal.
