PA Chamber Hosts Indian Ambassador for Engaging Roundtable Discussion

Last week, the PA Chamber was honored to host the Indian Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, for a roundtable discussion at our office in Harrisburg.

Along with dozens of Indian American business leaders, state lawmakers, and PA Chamber members, the Ambassador discussed how Pennsylvania and India – a country home to almost 1.4 billion people – can partner together for more robust economies and a brighter future.

Ambassador Sandu shared facts about India’s economy and trade interests and engaged in Q&A with roundtable participants. Notably, he mentioned that 50 percent of people in India are 26 or younger – which weighs heavily on the nation’s policy decisions, election outcomes, and plans for the future.

Ambassador Sandhu was optimistic about the potential for economic collaboration between India and the United States in a wide range of areas ranging from energy to healthcare, education, IT and digital startups, and defense.

The PA Chamber values Ambassador Sandhu’s engagement and visit to our office and our members who attended the roundtable to share their unique perspectives, experiences, and industry expertise. As the state’s largest broad-based business advocacy organization, the PA Chamber regularly hosts foreign dignitaries for discussions with Pennsylvania business to strengthen commercial and economic ties and highlight opportunities for growth.
