PA Chamber Educational Foundation, PA Bankers Association to Host Fifth-Annual Economic Forecast Summit

Harrisburg – The PA Chamber Educational Foundation and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association are again joining forces to present the Fifth Annual Economic Forecast Summit on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey.

This year’s program will provide an overview of the economic opportunities and challenges currently facing Pennsylvania and the nation, with a special focus on the impacts from the recent presidential and Congressional elections.

“With the Commonwealth facing a deficit that is expected to balloon beyond $3 billion going into the upcoming fiscal year, many employers are concerned about the threat of new and increased taxes,” said PA Chamber President Gene Barr. “This year’s conference will examine the impact of the state’s fiscal situation on employers, while providing them insight into the new and upcoming trends that can help to improve both their bottom line and the state’s competitive edge.”

The summit’s featured topics and speakers will include:

  • Economic Forecast - Pennsylvania Perspective:
  • Matt Knittel, Director, PA Independent Fiscal Office
  • Economic Forecast - Federal Perspective:
  • J.D. Foster, Ph.D., Chief Economist, U. S. Chamber of Commerce
  • Enhancing Success and Managing Risk in Turbulent Times - Engaged Leadership and Human Factors:
  • Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.), Authority on Leadership and Crisis Management, and Former Commander of the USS Cole
  • Five Strategies that Can Transform Innovation:
  • Michelle Stacy, Corporate Leader on Growth, Innovation & Culture, and Former President, Green Mountain’s Keurig Division

“Economic conditions can have tremendous impacts on our local banks, and our banks help to fuel growth in our local communities across the Commonwealth,” said PA Bankers Association President and CEO Duncan Campbell. “The insights provided throughout this conference will drive critical conversations about our economic future, both on a state and national level.”

RKL will serve as the Economic Forecast Summit’s Exclusive Diamond Sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.
